I started learning embroidery when my son was an infant and I was awake through the night. I loved fashion, sparkle, and heavily embellished designs, but I was frustrated that I couldn’t find the pieces I imagined in my size or in the playful styles I wanted to wear. Learning to embroider gave me a way to bring those ideas to life.

That curiosity grew into The Pearl Thimble, my independent embroidery atelier in Dallas, Texas. I’m especially drawn to couture embroidery using a tambour hook—the intricate beadwork, sequins, and textures that make a garment feel extraordinary. My training also includes canvaswork, crewelwork, goldwork, silk shading, and hand monogramming.

I completed the Royal School of Needlework Certificate program with Merit, the Dutch Couture Academy vocational program, and a year-long mentorship with Crystal Gaye. These experiences inform my work, whether I’m creating a small monogram, a piece of framed art, or elaborate embellishment for a custom garment.

Every piece is made by hand in my home studio here in Dallas. Working directly with me means we can explore ideas together, feel materials, and refine the details as a project takes shape.

I believe beautiful craftsmanship can be joyful, expressive, and full of personality. Sometimes that means a quiet detail in matching silk thread. Sometimes it means all the sparkle you’ve ever wanted.
